Who we are?
Since its creation, the Althea Foundation has been committed to children's health in rural areas by providing vision screening, oral care and health education services.
Our mission
We believe every child deserves access to essential care to see, smile and learn. Our teams organise ophthalmic and oral health campaigns, provide glasses and dental kits, and educate families on good health practices.
In partnership with local authorities, health professionals and volunteers, we operate in rural areas of Morocco to reduce inequalities in healthcare access and give children better prospects for the future.
Our values
- Solidarity: working hand in hand with local communities to meet children's specific needs.
- Excellence: ensuring high‑quality services thanks to trained professionals and appropriate equipment.
- Transparency: clearly communicating our actions, results and use of collected funds.
- Sustainability: favouring long‑term actions that strengthen local capacities and beneficiaries' autonomy.
Governance
The Althea Foundation is governed by a board made up of healthcare, education and community development professionals.
Board of directors
Our board oversees the strategy and overall direction of the Foundation. It ensures that our actions meet community needs and that resources are used effectively and responsibly.
Partners
We collaborate with schools, hospitals, local authorities and other organisations to maximise our impact. We warmly thank our partners for their trust and support.
